Standing at six feet in height, this humanoid devil carries a saw-toothed blade connected to a long, rifled barrel. Standing resolutely with its comrades, all of which looks the spitting image each other, it appears that there is nowhere for you to run.

The triezu are the highly trained soldiers of baatezu armies. Dangerous in melee, skilled in formation fighting, and expert marksmen, they compensate for their typically inferior numbers (especially when fighting demons) by working in tandem to great effect.

These devils live and breathe military drill and routine, and generally epitomize the collectivist values of the baatezu. Their remembrance of rules and regulations (of which there are too many to count in Baator) is immaculate, their adherence to them meticulous. The instinct to follow orders without question is hardwired into their very fabric of a triezu’s being, and as a result these most loyal and hard-working of devils are perhaps the most commonly found of any in the Hells.

Combat[edit]

Triezu are somewhat an equivalent to the bearded devil, but less retarded both figuratively and literally. Seriously, these things are cold and calculating killing machines, not illiterate fiendish barbarians. In short, they’re smart and adapt quickly to any situation with the help of their versatile signature weapon: the hellfire shot-glaive. Even if they lose this weapon, it is common for a triezu to carry a sidearm into battle and even a more conventional blade for when things get messy.

Triezu are always considered to be in the Ire of the Rising Sun stance. This bonus is reflected in their stat block.

Aura of Cold Logic (Su): A triezu’s aura of cold logic deals 5 points of cold damage each turn, operates out to 35 feet, and has a save DC of 15.

Form Up (Su): As an immediate action, a triezu can teleport up to 35 feet so long as the destination of the effect is a square adjacent to another triezu. This ability is useable at will.

Infernal Wound (Ex): A successful attack from a weapon wielded by a triezu (at either melee or range) deals an additional 2d6 points of vile damage and also subjects the target of the attack to a targeted greater dispel magic effect, with the triezu’s attack roll substituting for the caster level check.

Legionnaire of Hell: Triezu fight best when in tight formation, where they can quickly relay commands and respond too each other so unconsciously that they don’t even use of their telepathy. A triezu gains a +1 bonus to attack rolls, damage rolls, and Armor Class for every other triezu within 5 feet of it. In addition, if a triezu hit by an area effect that allows a Reflex save makes a successful saving throw, all other triezu within 5 feet of it that are also affected automatically make their save. A triezu that automatically saves as a result of this ability cannot affect another triezu in this manner without making their own save.

Magitech Training: Triezu are automatically proficient with any weapon with the word ‘hellfire’ in its name.

Maneuver-Like Abilities: Blitzkrieg (Strike), Dust Devil Shot (Strike), Masque of Red Death (Boost), Iron Caress (Strike), Smoking Steel Parry (Counter)

See In Darkness: (Ex): Triezu can see perfectly in darkness of any kind, even that of the magical variety.

Spell-Like Abilities: At will - greater teleport. Caster level 5th.
