A dying god of innovation, technology, and war. His powers were cannibalized by other deities, and he seeks revenge.

Origin[edit]

Originally a stronger god, Vaul du Daith was one of several gods of war who blossomed into power during major wars and who stoked technology to greater and more dangerous heights. What was once a minor war god became powerful and unstoppable, and he actively stoked the fires of war. Yet he overplayed his hand and did not think far ahead, and soon the wars ended leaving a world weary for fighting. Swords were beaten into plowshares, and the burst of technology ended up creating prosperity and comfort in mortals. Even when things took a turn for the worst, this comfort persisted and prevented what would be bloody conflict from sparking due to apathy and relative prosperity. The morality or ethics it had on the world aside, it was anathema for Vaul du Daith and he was not alone in his portfolio. The war gods set upon each other in hunger, and he was devoured by gods stronger than him.

Reduced to a mere hero deity, he is a shadow of his former self. Ever certain that war is on the horizon he is looking for a foothold to get back in power and increase the technology of the world on the broken backs of the dead and the wills of the bloodthirsty.

Description[edit]

Vaul du Daith appears as a large humanoid clad in black power armor, with a golden mask for a face akin to a classic wise greek god. He carries a hammer or crozius with him and generally possesses technological aspects, but all for weapons and tools of battle. From the seems in his armor he sometimes leaks out smoke or infernally hot white fire. Though he acts with a calm and collected behavior, he casually will speak about war, combat, and the sacrifice of others to a cause. He stokes war and chaos among others. His greatest fear is losing what divinity he has and possibly becoming some manner of fiend.

Dogma[edit]

Vaul du Daith is an evil, but reasonable god. Pray to him for success in battle, inspiration for weapons, and advancement for the chosen few. Those who follow him tend to be elites and warlords who care not for the lives of minions, or those fighting for the greater good at any cost. He is patron to mad science, unethical testing, and those who would take down threats pre-emptively.

Clergy and Temples[edit]

Vaul du Daith has no temples, and his clergy is all but abandoned. His followers are individuals who share a like mind and who have discovered his ever dwindling lore.
