Since time primeval the tales of ghosts and spectral being terrified mortals, but also showed great promise to those who would tap into it. The Order of the White Specters delved into this unexplored avenue. A knight specter is a powerful spellcaster and a mighty combatant, supplementing his skills with unique abilities. Advanced knight specters can walk through walls, can strike ethereal creatures and some can even turn into full ghost for a time.

Becoming a Knight Specter[edit]

Spellcasting: At every level except the first, you gain new spells per day and an increase in caster level (and spells known, if applicable) as if you had also gained a level in a arcane spellcasting class to which you belonged before adding the prestige class level. You do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If you had more than one arcane spellcasting class before becoming a knight specter, you must decide to which class to add each level for the purpose of determining spells per day, caster level, and spells known.

Expanded Spellcasting (Ex): A 1st level knight specter add the following spells to her class spell list, if she is a spontaneous caster she add those spell to her spell known as well whenever they would become available to pick (either at the spell's original level or at the level indicated below, whichever come first).

These spell are automatically added to your spell known or spellbook whenever they are be made available. No expenditure of resource are necessary for adding those spells and they do not count toward your limit of spell known.

Ghostblade (Su): A knight specter grant the ghost touch enhancement to all weapon and shield she wield, as well as any armor she wear. Additionally any weapon she wield become weightless.

Phantom Strike (Su): At 7th level a knight specter's ghostblade ability improve significantly. All her attacks become incorporeal touch attacks.

Geistform (Su): A 8th level knight specter is capable of embracing the supreme aspect of the Knights of the White Specter and become an ethereal creature herself. As a swift action she may gain the geist template, She may return to her normal existence as a swift action and may persist in geist form for 1 hour per character level per day, the use need not to be consecutive but is always used in 1 hour increment.

Additionally if she dies she rise may as a geist with no level adjustment. She cans stay in this state for 1 day per character level after which she dissipate and dies for real, so she often use her time as a geist to engineer her resurrection.
