It's said that the rare species of Imperius Penguinus is not grumpy only a few hours a year, and few get to see it. Fortunately with the power of science and magic, Bianca was able to capture this once in a lifetime event for eternity.
You enhance a small crystal marble to record sight, sound, smell, temperature, and other sensory aspect once activated. You can choose a contingent trigger (as per the same complexity as contingency) to activate it, or simply activate it yourself as a standard action. It begins recording from that point on everything within a 60 ft radius around in 360, or up to the horizon in a cone in a direction of your choice. If you are in contact with the marble while it is recording, you can toggle the recording on and off. It can record up to 1 minute/level of material before it becomes full. At this point it is a permanent magical item.
At any point, you can speak a command word to display the contents of the crystal orb, viewing it as a hologram around yourself (radius) or on a wall (horizon) as if you were actually there, though illusory fires and other hazards do not injure other than feeling uncomfortably warm.
If the marble is broken (hardness 8, 5 hp) the recorded information is lost.
