Axe Mastery Variant [Fighter]
Heeere's Johnny!Prerequisites: Proficiency in an axe-like weapon.Benefit: Whenever you make an attack with an axe-like weapon (including any axe, plus weapons with axe-heads like halberds), you may apply one of the following effects to it.
- Armor Hacking: If your attack misses by 5 or less, reduce the opponent's armor bonus by 1d3 points (minimum 0). This lasts until the item is repaired with a Craft check over the course of 10 minutes or more (DC equal to the item's craft DC), or a spell or effect which would repair at least 5 points of damage to the armor.
- Execution: The attack deals extra damage on a critical hit: 1d8 for a x2 multiplier, and an additional 1d8 for each point of multiplier beyond that.
- Mauling: When you slay an opponent with your axe you can choose to have the body dismembered.
- Woodcutter: The attack ignores half (rounded up) of all damage reduction and hardness.
