Create Geoglyph [Item Creation] The ancient rock structures left from the druid were filled with magical power.Prerequisites: Caster Level 12thBenefit: You learn how to create geoglyphs. A geoglyph is a permanent magical structure, a foundation infused with magic or enormous inscriptions in the ground that may be activated to affect the area with the spell that was infused in the structure at the moment of its creation. To create a geoglyph a character must spend 1,500 gp per 328 feet (100 meters) of area it wants to cover + 1000 gp x the spell level and expend 50% of that amount in XP (though multiple casters working together may equally split the XP cost). Each 328 feet of structure created require one day to build. In addition to this the creator must make appropriate Knowledge (architecture) or (nature) checks each day with DC equal to 30 + the spell level. If it fails the construction continues but for each failed check the creator must pay another 10% of the price and XP needed to make the geoglyph, up to double the amount (after which the creation automatically fails) or it won't be able to complete the geoglyph and will lose all the resources. When the geoglyph is complete the creator(s) may activate the spell contained with the same action required to cast it, affecting all the area or the creatures in it as normal or the creator may have stated at the moment of creation to whom the spell will apply (such as only citizens of a city or to invaders). The caster may activate the spell within the normal range of the spell, meaning that a touch spell needs to be activated inside the area or adjacent to its exterior. The spell then lasts and works the same. Other magic users may activate the geoglyph after attuning to the it with a Spellcraft check with DC 30 + the spell level. One may even activate it with a Use Magic Device with the same DC as above. After having activated it the glyph goes dormient for one day per spell level, recharging its magic from the earth. Special expensive components and XP cost of the spell must be expended at the moment of the activation. Only specific spells may be used to create a geoglyph, as described in the below list:

  • All magic circle spells
  • All symbol spells
  • All transmute spell
  • All wall spells (affect the area's borders)

Special: Glyphs may be incorporated in city plans and planimetry of buildings, needing just the foundations to be created. They need to stay on ground level. Destruction of the glyph deactivates it, but the glyph's effect may not destroy it.
