Excavator Style [Fighter, Style]
"Take this!" said the fossor fighter, launching a mass of dirt onto the enemy.Prerequisites: BAB +3, Weapon Focus (combat spade or combat shovel)Benefit: You gain the ability to perform the following techniques when using a combat spade or combat shovel:
- Excavate Battlefield: As a full-round action that provokes attacks of opportunity you may use your weapon to modify terrain around you, making it, within your weapon's reach (even diagonally), into difficult terrain or into normal terrain. You may choose to leave your own square unaltered. This action may only alter mundane terrain or magically altered terrain (with a spellcaster check, using your BAB as a bonus), but only if you would be able to dig that terrain with your weapon. This excludes modification to most effects that don't modifiy the soil. Low plants can be affected, being covered with dirt.
- Shovepult: You may throw dirt and small rocks at opponents by digging into soil and using your weapon as a catapult. You have 5 ft. (1,5 mt.) + the weapon's reach of range and you may use this ability as an attack action, using your weapon damage die, enhancements, magic effects and feats, if applicable, for the attack. The damage is always bludgeoning however. This creates a small hole in an adjacent square of your choice. You may not use this attack if all adjacent squares have holes in them.
Special: Characters with this feat may use the combat spade and combat shovel as slashing weapons also. A fighter may choose this feat as one of its fighter bonus feats. Fossors greatly benefit from this feat and reduce digging time for the Excavate Battlefield ability.
