Master of Masks [Skill] You are a master of masks, you have the ability to summon supernatural masks and gain great powers from them. Benefits: This is a skill feat that scales with your ranks in Perform (Acting or Comedy).

  • 0 ranks: You gain the ability to conjure magical masks out of thin air, conjuring a mask is a move or swift action and it vanishes if it leave your person. Your magical masks use your face item slot. You start knowing 2 masks, each mask is made of one mood and one totem (see below). Whenever you level up you may trade up to one mask with another mask. Summoning a mask is a supernatural ability and is usable at will.
  • 4 ranks: You gain the supernatural ability to alter any masks you wear to display move like an actual faces, this allow you to convey facial expression or social queue if you wish so (this does not alter the mood of your magic masks).
  • 9 ranks: Whenever you wear one of your magic mask you are under the effect of undetectable alignment. You gain an additional mask.
  • 14 ranks: Whenever you wear one of your magic mask you are treated as if you had Kent's Unassuming Disguise, you may have one secret identity per mask or share a secret identity with multiple masks. You gain an additional mask.
  • 19 ranks: Perhaps you became more of a character than a person or your masks carry your souls and possess would be actors. If die and not brought back for 1 year you reappear somewhere in the world in an theater troupe as long as your soul is free. This even apply if you died of old age in which case you return as a young adult. You gain an additional mask.

Mood

  • Afraid: You can act normally while cowering, frightened or panicked.
  • Anticipation: You can always act in surprise round and gain a +4 bonus on initiative checks.
  • Apathetic: You are immune to any moral bonus or penalties as well as [charm] effect. You gain a +4 bonus on saving throws against [compulsion] effect.
  • Careful: Once per minute you can take 10 on any d20 check, even if under stress. You can take 10 even on checks which it not normally allowed such as a saving throw or attack roll.
  • Evil: You gain 1d6 sneak attack (as the rogue ability, it stack with other sources).
  • Happy: Once per hour you can cast good hope as a spell-like ability. Whenever you gain a moral bonus that bonus is increased by 1.
  • Love: As a swift action you can declare your love for another creature, replicating the united we stand stance. This is still a martial stance and behave as such.
  • Passionate: Once per day you can treat any d20 roll as if you rolled a natural 20, this does not trigger vorpal or similar ability. You may use this ability an additional time per day when you reach 14 ranks of perform (acting or comedy).
  • Sad: You radiate a constant aura of doom.
  • Scary: You gain a +4 bonus to intimidate and if you successfully demoralize a creature in combat it take 1 daunt level in addition to the normal penalties it would incur.
  • Wrathful: Once per encounter you can rage as the spell as a free action. If you have the rage class feature you count as a barbarian 2 level higher for the purpose of determine the strength of your rage while wearing the mask. While wearing this mask you can use you may use any mask ability without penalty or restriction while raging.

Totem

  • Angel: You are under constant protection from evil and sanctuary, if your action cause you to lose your sanctuary the mask vanishes and cannot be summoned for 1 hour.
  • Bird: You gain a hover speed equal to your base land speed (good) When you reach 14 ranks in perform (acting) or perform (comedy) you also gain a fly speed equal to twice your base land speed (average).
  • Clown: You can use prestidigitation as a supernatural ability at will and you can stand up from prone as a free action that does not provoke an attack of opportunity, do not take fall damage and count as one size category smaller for the purpose of squeezing through tight places.
  • Comedian: You choose two additional mood, you only benefits from one at a time but you can change between each of this mask moods as a free action at the start of your turn. You also gain a +4 bonus on perform (acting) and perform (comedy).
  • Dragon: Once per hour you may use the flame breath spell as a spell-like ability. When you reach 14 ranks in perform (acting) or perform (comedy) you can use greater flame breath instead.
  • Fiend: You gain resistance to fire equal to twice your character level, count as evil aligned whenever it would advantageous and gain see in darkness.
  • Kitsune: You can use any 1st or 0 level illusion spell on the sorcerer/wizard spell list as a spell-like ability, you can use this ability a number of time per day equal to your character level for 1st level spells and at will with 0 level spells. When you reach 9 ranks in perform (acting) or perform (comedy) you can use 2nd level illusion spell but they cost 2 daily uses, and when you reach 14 ranks you can use 3rd level illusion spell but they cost 3 daily uses. Same for 19 ranks, allowing you to use 4th level illusions at the cost of 4 daily uses.
  • Moon: You can see perfectly in low-light vision, additionally all weapon you wield are considered to be made of silver when doing so would be advantageous. Additionally all [light] effect reflect of you, you gain spell resistance equal to 11 + character level against all spells with the [light] descriptor. If the spell fail to beat your spell resistance it is turned back on the caster as per spell turning.
  • Old Man: You gain bardic knowledge as a bard, although you may use your charisma instead of your intelligence on this bardic knowledge and on all knowledge checks.
  • Plague Doctor: You gain immunity to disease and all airborne hazard (such as cloudkill or inhaled poisons).
  • Sun: You radiate light as per daylight and you cannot be blinded or dazzled and only take half damage from [light] effects.
  • Wolf: You gain a scent and a bite feral strike (1d6 20/x2) with the trip special ability.
