Synchronized Spellcasting [Cooperative]
Father-Son Kahmehameha!Prerequisites: Caster Level 1stBenefit: You can train with one spellcasting (or manifesting) ally up to 15 minutes to become synchronized. For the next 24 hours (or until you rest), you or your ally can ready themselves as a full round action to match up with their synchronized ally. If your casts a spell or power, you also cast a spell or power which includes the same target at the same time. You can only have one synchronized ally at a time, synchronizing with another removes the benefit of the previous one.
Use the higher of the two natural die rolls for breaching spell resistance and attack rolls (if any), and the higher spell level for determining the effective spell level and base spell DC for both attacks. If the spell or power in question is the same spell or power (such as synchronized lightning bolts), you also take the higher of the two damage rolls for both effects. Damage from both attacks is added together for the purposes of breaching damage reduction and resistance. It's possible that not all castings made are synchronized, such as if one attacker uses a quickened spell while the other does not.
The initiative of the ally who readied themselves does not change.
Example: The sorcerer and wizard team up to cast ray of exhaustion and horrid wilting on the target. They roll a natural (4, 18) 18 for bypassing spell resistance, and the base DC of both spells is DC 18 + ability modifier. The ray of exhaustion doesn't benefit from taking the higher roll on attack rolls, since only one of the spells is a weapon-like spell. The wizard follows this up with a quickened lightning bolt with no additional benefits.Special: If both casters have this feat, they can choose to cast the same spell (even if they don't know the spell or any metamagic effects on the spell), as long as they expend a spell slot or spell per day of a level equal to the duplicated spell. At least one of the two participating members needs to know the spell in question. For example, this lets a cleric and a wizard cast cure critical wounds at the same time, provided the wizard expends a 4th level slot.
