Rustic Mage
A spellcaster residing in the countryside, expert in farming crops.
Class: Any Arcane Spellcaster
Prerequisites: Profession (farmer) 1 rank, ability to acquire a familiar.
Level: 1st
Replaces: Summon Familiar, School Specialization, Modified Spellcasting Ability
Benefit: You cast spells using your Wisdom for any purpose related to spellcasting instead of your normal ability. You add your caster level to Profession (farmer) checks.
Instead of a familiar or a specialization in a magic school you gain the Harvest domain, treating your arcane class as cleric class for any need. You add all Animal and Plant spells to your spell list for the purpose of learning them and using related magic items. You automatically learn animate scarecrow and fire hayball as bonus spells when you learn to use 2nd and 6th level spells.
You are illiterate.
Special: A class that uses a book to record spells may still do it, even if illiterate.
