Medusa's Eye [Monstrous, Spelltouched]
Your evil eye freezes your opponents in place.Prerequisites: Exposure to a flesh to stone spell.Benefit: You can activate a gaze attack against any creature within 60 ft as a standard action. On a failed Fortitude save, they take 1d4 points of temporary Dexterity damage. When the creature's Dexterity reaches 0, they are encased in a stone shell, effectively petrified. However, they can still take a full round action to attempt to break the stone with a Strength check, DC 20. Successfully breaking out leaves them at 1 Dex but no longer petrified. Other creatures can also attempt the break DC from the outside, but doing so deals critical hit damage from the weapon they are using.
The Dexterity damage is temporary. It can be fully recovered with 1 hour of rest, or a remove paralysis or stone to flesh spell.
The DC is 10 + 1/2 HD + your highest mental ability modifier. This is a supernatural ability.
Special: For a Very High version of the feat, any creature starting within 5 ft automatically is subject to your Medusa's Eye once per round. You may suppress this as a free action.
