Time Descriptor[edit]

The "Time" descriptor applies to the majority of spells, powers, maneuvers, soulmelds, invocations, and other such abilities capable of holding a descriptor that have an effect which involves altering time, the flow of time, or the way creatures perceive it. Like most other descriptors, it has no in-game effects of its own, but governs how other effects interact with effects bearing it (for instance, certain effects may hinder time effects and other effects may help them).

SRD Effects with the Time Descriptor[edit]

Note that this is not an exhaustive list, but it should give you an idea of what the Time descriptor applies to when making homebrew.

Non-SRD Effects with the Time Descriptor[edit]

Again, this is not an exhaustive list, but it should give you an idea of what to look for. For instance, many Diamond Mind abilities have the Time descriptor.

  • Time Stands Still[1] (Diamond Mind maneuver)
  • Stance of Aclarity[1] (Diamond Mind maneuver)
  • Moment of Aclarity[1] (Diamond Mind maneuver)
  • Quicksilver Motion[1] (Diamond Mind maneuver)
  • Synchronicity[2] (Psion/wilder power)
  • Temporal Reiteration[2] (Nomad power)
