A Cloak of Vampiric Protection grants the wearer the Vampiric Protection spell once per day for 12 consecutive hours. Like the spell, if a Vampire uses an ability stemming from being a vampire, the cloak stops working. However, after 1d6 rounds, the cloak reactivates, working until the remaining 12 hours are used up. No matter how evil your DM is, you do NOT sparkle when using this item.
